Applied Golf Technology (AGT) was launched in 1997 to provide the Scottish golfing public with a personalised custom-fitting, clubmaking and club repair service second to none.
Since then, we have built up a loyal customer base, primarily through satisfied referrals. Much of our success has been due to the technical skill of our equipment specialists Ed Robertson, Martin Jones, Pat Kinsley and Gordon Palmer. Founder and Technical Director, Ed Robertson, is a GCA advanced professional clubmaker who has written numerous golf equipment articles for Bunkered™, Scotland’s best-selling golf magazine. Ed has been listed in KZG’s Top 100 ClubFitters in the World every year since 2006.
In 1999 AGT became the first authorised dealer in the UK for KZG Golf clubs. KZG has fast become a leading custom-fit brand in the golf industry, gaining a well deserved reputation for innovation, quality and outstanding performance.
In 2004 AGT was appointed a Scottish authorised dealer for the world famous Miura forged irons. Miura forgings are renowned within the golf industry for their superb feel and superior quality finish. For this reason they are much sought after by the world’s top PGA Tour players who demand nothing but the best.
In 2006 AGT was appointed by the St Andrews Links Trust to provide Custom Fit Services in their prestigious golf academy at the Home of Golf.
The academy’s Custom Fit Centre is now well established as the leading facility of its kind in the country, providing full equipment support to several European Tour professionals, the elite amateur players from the Scottish Golf Union and the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association, as well as serving the general golfing public as a whole.
