Applied Golf Technology (AGT) was launched in 1997 to provide the Scottish golfing public with a personalised custom-fitting, clubmaking and club repair service second to none.
Since then, we have built up a loyal customer base, primarily through satisfied referrals. Founder and Technical Director, Ed Robertson, is a GCA advanced professional clubmaker who has written numerous golf equipment articles for Bunkered™, Scotland’s best-selling golf magazine. Ed has been listed in KZG’s Top 100 ClubFitters in the World every year between 2006 and 2013.
In 2004 AGT was appointed a Scottish authorised dealer for the world famous Miura forged irons. Miura forgings are renowned within the golf industry for their superb feel and superior quality finish. For this reason they are much sought after by the world’s top PGA Tour players who demand nothing but the best.
In 2006 AGT was appointed by St Andrews Links Trust to provide custom fit and equipment support services in their prestigious new golf academy at the Home of Golf. It quickly developed into the leading independent fitting centre in Scotland, attracting Scotland’s top amateur players and European tour professionals such as Colin Montgomerie, Stephen Gallacher and Catriona Matthew. Having established the centre and trained the staff, AGT has recently transferred management of the fitting centre to the Links Trust as of 1st July 2013. Under this new arrangement AGT continues to build, adjust and repair golf clubs at our facility in Ceres, referring any fitting requests to the Links Trust specialist fitting centre in St Andrews.
